As part of the development of information technology and artificial intelligence technologies, the College of Information Technology Engineering at Al-Zahra University (peace be upon her) for women hosted a specialized lecture entitled “Using Information Technology to Reduce Global Traffic Accidents” presented by Dr. Hussam Muslim, Director of the Automated Driving Research Center and Head of the Cognitive Science Laboratories at Tsukuba University in Japan. The event was held under the patronage of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, and under the supervision and follow-up of the Dean of the College of Information Technology Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ali Jaafar Al-Husseini.
Dr. Hussam, known for his outstanding achievements in the field of automated driving and Japan’s representative to the United Nations, shared his experiences and insights on how to use technology to reduce traffic accident rates, which record more than one million accidents annually worldwide. The latest innovations in collision avoidance and automatic vehicle control technologies were also highlighted.
