Continuous Education Department at Al-Zahraa University for women, in
cooperation with Kut University, held a scientific workshop entitled:
"Educational Statistics and Learning Theories". The workshop, conducted
by Prof. Dr. Abd Al-Hussein Ghanem Sakhi, took place on Saturday, March
18, 2023, in the English Language Department Hall.
In addition, the
workshop was attended by a group of University's teaching staff and
trainers.
Moreover, the workshop included a presentation on key theories
based on learning processes explanation, namely the hypothesis theory,
psychoanalysis, the behavioral school, the field school, as well as the
Skinner school. Besides, the workshop addressed statistics, which is a
branch of applied mathematics that is divided into two types: descriptive
statistics and inferential statistics. In addition, the workshop also highlighted
theories and educational statistics integration, with a view to help professors
understand student's performance and conduct precise tests.
