Workshop on Computer Utilization by Al-Zahraa University

Orphan Media Unit/Department of Media, affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Al- Imam Al-Hussein held a three-day workshop on computer utilization for orphans, aged between 11 and 17 years, at the computer laboratory. The event was presented by Ms. Saima Momen, Ms. Duha Alaa, as well as Ms. Kawther Yousif. The workshop included an introduction on computer principles and their usages in academic life. Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division Holds English Speaking and Listening Course

Under the aegis of prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Mulla Al-Sultani, President of the University, Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division, held a training course on English speaking and listening skills. The course was also organized in cooperation with Continuous Education Center and the Department of English/Faculty of Education. The course was presented by Asst. Lect Ahmed Bader Shabib on of Al-Kawthar Hall for Continuous Education Center. Faculty of Health and Medical Technologies Holds First Aid Workshop

The Faculty of Health and Medical Technologies, in cooperation with the Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up Division, held a first aid workshop presented by Dr. Ghufran Hussein Abdullah and Dr. Asia Adnan Muhammad. The workshop included first aid methods explanation for various cases of burns, wounds, bleeding, fractures, and dealing with such emergency cases as stroke and diabetes. Continuous Education Center Holds Educative Workshop on the Rights of Disabled People

Under the aegis of Prof. Dr. Zainab Al-Sultani, President of Al-Zahraa University for Women, the Legal Affairs Department, in cooperation with the Continuous Education Center, held a workshop entitled “People with Disabilities between International Conventions and International Law” for University's teaching and administrative staff members. The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Athir Nazim Hussein and Asst. Lect. Ruqayya Ali Shabout, from the Legal Department. The five-day workshop managed to shed light on the most important needs of the group of disabled individuals and the major obstacles they face. Additionally, the course explained their position in international laws and regulations as well as methods for their integration into society. The workshop was intended to emphasize the significance of integrating the issues of people with disabilities as part and parcel of sustainable development strategies and vital elements in society who should be empowered and cared for.
